Olwethu Nyewe is currently employed as a Director at the National Skills Authority
(NSA) in the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). She provides
leadership, management and technical support to the National Skills Authority (NSA).
She also manages NSA programmes including research projects, capacity building
initiatives, consultation processes with key stakeholders, marketing and manage the
NSA investigations.
*She is currently enrolled for Masters in Public Administration with the University of
Pretoria.

*She has more than 17 years working in the public service, where she worked as aSocial Worker since 2002 at Child Welfare, Department of Correctional Services
She has more than 17 years working in the public service, where she worked as a
Social Worker since 2002 at Child Welfare, Department of Correctional Services and
Department of Social Development and later joined National department of Health as
Monitoring and Evaluation officer in 2009. She subsequently joined the Department of
Higher Education and Training in 2014 as Deputy Director: Programme Manager for
Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Reporting at the Human Resource
Development Council Secretariat responsible for managing and monitoring the
implementation of the HRD Strategy.
